Lord of the Karmic Fate

Chapter 148 Magic Bubble

After killing his first beast on the first island, Raven, with the help of his little sister, traveled to the second island which had quite a simple but also unique environment.

The island was completely flat, similar to a large clearing filled with colorful flowers whose petals were, in fact, the manifestation of elements!

Some were made out of ice, some burned with blazing fire, others were just petrified soil, and some were swirling darkness that from time to time flashed with tiny yellowish bolts of lightning!

There were other plants also whose petals were made out of other elements such as wind, water, light, acid, and many more!

The whole place brimmed with various elements to the point that in some places elemental reactions could be seen occurring, either creating some magical phenomenon or simply causing small explosions.

"Fairy Paradise Island, the home of 3 Star creatures known as Elementals," Luna explained as she stopped and pointed forward.

Raven followed her finger and watched as in the distance several small figures could be seen floating around the plants.

"They are very serene creatures and if you don\'t provoke them they won\'t attack you either. Some of them even decide to follow you on their own will if you accept them as your tamed beasts."

"I see." Raven nodded and watched as a little Elemental with azure blue eyes and hair flew before him and tilted her small head to the side.

From the way it looked at him, it seemed she became a little curious for some reason.

"She is a Water Elemental, capable of controlling the element of water and even summoning it if needed. It looks like she is interested in you." Luna explained and giggled softly when she saw how mesmerized the little thing became the moment it locked gazes with Raven.

"She seems to become especially fond of your eyes."

Raven showed a wry smile and even before the Water Elemental could have floated closer he took a step back.

"I\'m sorry little beauty, but I\'m not the one who you are looking for. Though, I am pretty sure in the not-so-distant future you will find someone great."

When the little fairy heard Raven\'s words she suddenly froze before sorrow appeared on her charming face and with a sorrowful sigh flew away.

"You broke her heart."

"Then why don\'t tame her instead and cheer her up?" Raven raised a brow.

"I have already told you this before, the beast I wish to tame is a special one not only because it\'s hard to tame but also because only a few appear every six months."

"Yeah, you have told me that before." Raven nodded and as he began to walk toward the wooden bridge that led the way to the third island he added, "Though, I\'m not really sure if your decision taming that beast is a good idea. After all, it was you who have said it, it\'s just a 4 Star beast."

"Maybe, but its ability can greatly boost my Artifact as well as a few of my Avatar Traits, so even though there are stronger beasts that I could tame, I won\'t," Luna stated reluctantly.

"If you say so. Just make sure not to regret it later." Raven sighed, no longer caring about what beast his little sister will tame.

"Don\'t worry, I won\'t." Luna smiled cutely and together with Raven crossed the wooden bridge that led the way to the third island that was covered in a thick layer of snow.

"Ice Golems. Within the Star System, they are recorded as 2 Star beasts. They have high defense and their ability lets them slow down their enemies if they successfully land a strike." Luna spoke calmly as she watched a large creature approach them slowly.

It was at least 5 meters tall and instead of flesh and skin, it was made out of blocks of ice.

"I see. I will take care of it." Raven nodded and took a step forward. However, instead of using his Celeste Blade, he decided to fight this battle with nothing but his fist.

"Let\'s see what a little over 360 points of Strength can do," Raven mumbled, and once the Ice Golem towered above him, ready to smash him into a pulp with its fists, he clenched his fingers and threw out a punch without holding back.

Just like how Kayn taught him!

BOOOM!

With a loud explosion akin to firing a cannon, a huge hole was blasted into the Ice Golem\'s chest before the rest of the large abomination\'s body cracked and shattered, crumbing into a large pile of ice dust in front of Raven!

[Congratulations! You have slain Rank 37 Ice Golem!]

[Your Constitution has increased by +2!]

\'Damn, that hurt...\'

Raven shook his hand slowly with a grimace while deep inside he was both a little surprised and satisfied.

\'Rank 37... That means this thing had 370 points of Constitution, huh?\'

370 points of Constitution were obliterated in the face of his fist despite his Strength only being 360 points, or better 400 points if one considered the passive boost that Trait is his got!

However, even with that high Constitution, one should be able to protect oneself from devastating attacks, yet, the Ice Golem stood no chance.

It seemed him training for days and refining his physical strength as Kayn taught him was indeed the right choice.

"Let\'s keep going." Raven glanced at Luna, who just like him killed an Ice Golem effortlessly with a powerful kick in the head.

And just like that, the two of them traveled from island to island, fighting all kinds of beasts from time to time or simply walking past them if they turned out to be like the Elementals, serene and peaceful.

And just like that, after traveling for almost 1 hour straight without stopping, during which Raven was able to increase a few of his Traits just because he killed some beasts, they finally reached the center of the Domain.

"So that is the island where the Realm Core is located?" Raven asked as he raised his head and watched as right above the central island there was also a second island visible.

The Forsaken Island, a mysterious place where according to numerous reports no beasts resided, yet, for some unknown reason, was still capable of scaring other beasts that wished to lay a best there.

"Though... How will we get up there?" Raven asked after a second, realizing a little problem.

Right now, they were standing at the edge of the neighboring island which connected with the central island with a wooden bridge, however, there were no bridges leading the way to the island above.

The only way to reach that place would be either if one possessed an Artifact that granted flight or a tamed flying beast.

"About that, just leave that to me," Luna spoke calmly and took out a small item from her pocket.

"What is that?" Raven raised a brow as he looked at the small item in his little sister\'s hand that looked like a bubble blower.

"Just watch and see." Luna smiled and after taking a deep breath she blew into the small item.

Whoosh!

"W-What!?"

Raven\'s eyes widened when he saw how a massive bubble appeared before the two of them, gently floating before the edge of the island.

"Jump!"

Luna laughed like a little child and even before Raven could comprehend what was happening she grabbed his hand and... jumped!?

Raven almost cried out when he realized what was happening and they really jumped off the island, however, surprisingly, the moment they entered the bubble they didn\'t fall right through it as he expected.

Instead, they stood inside it!

"Huh?"

Dumbfounded, Raven watched as his little sister kept laughing, seemingly enjoying the face he was making while also magically controlling the bubble and making it float toward the island in the sky.

"Cool, isn\'t it?" Luna asked after a second as she showed raven the small bubble blower.

"It is a Legendary Grade Relic, that not only can allow one to float in the sky but can also protect one from weaker attacks."

"Where did you get it?" Raven asked curiously.

"I got it after completing a rather difficult Realm Game within an Azure Gate with four ring marks."

"It is quite useful."

"It is. Though, it is quite useless during fights as a little over 200 points of Strength is enough to pop it."

"Wait, what?! What if we get attacked now?" Raven\'s face turned pale and looked down, only to see the vast emptiness below his feet waiting for him to fall into it.

"Relax. Nothing will happen, and even if something would, I can just do this." Luna rolled her eyes and flicked her finger, causing the bubble to make a sharp turn with great speed.

"See? With enough Mystique, I can control this bubble as I wish, let it be trajectory or speed."

"I-I see..." Raven sighed a little nervously and decided to trust his little sister.
