Thrown Into A New World: Let The Punishment Begin!

Chapter 934

Raylene would stay behind for a while before she too needed to head out whereas the pair of father and daughter had no schedule during this time.

Yvonne’s meeting with Sevenz was set for after lunch hours as the other man had prior obligations he had to complete.

After the sardonic words she had been greeted with when they spoke the previous day, she had rolled her eyes before explaining her purpose for reaching out to him.

Hearing that she had some business with him, Sevenz put away his grudge for being ignored until now and got right to work.

The two had discussed the details of their upcoming meeting and set an appointment for the next day.

At the end of this conversation, he did not forget to emphasize that he was being generous by accommodating her sudden request into his busy schedule so the little girl could only follow whatever arrangements he had made.

.....

Since she anyway had to attend her classes with the Marquess, she did not mind and agreed to the conditions he had put forward.

By the time her classes came to an end, it was already time for lunch but the father and child were the only ones seated at the table as Raylene had not yet returned home.

In the last few days, the Countess had a busy schedule, meeting her friends and other acquaintances due to a large number of parties that had been organized ever since the King’s celebration had ended.

Therefore, she would be away today as well to attend one such event.

However, this time, Raylene had a task to accomplish, the same one she had been appointed just yesterday.

This left the Earl with his child who wasn’t too keen on conversing with him.

In the past, he did not mind his daughter meeting that mysterious owner of Ocular Caravans as Howard was always there to accompany her which set his mind at ease.

However, this time, his son was away from the Capital which intensified his worries.

At the same time, he also knew that his daughter must have a valid reason to meet this older man.

Thus he could only think of another way to ensure her safety while not invoking her anger towards him once again.

With this plan in mind, he had summoned Jax, the young butler who was meant to follow her outside later on.

Yvonne was getting dressed to head out so this was the perfect time to speak to the young man.

As soon as Jax arrived, he received strict instructions to be by his Master’s side at all times.

He would have done the same regardless so he nodded his head in acceptance of the command given to him by his Boss’s father.

Once the butler left the room, Rutherford reclined in his seat and sighed.

His daughter was still too young but he was already wary of many men in their society.

The owner of Ocular Caravans who declared himself to be her best friend despite the embarrassing age difference between them.

The previous Lord of the Leopold family who most likely projected the image of the deceased Viscountess Valente onto the young child due to their resemblance.

Finally, the young man from the side branch of the Brodie family whom he had met only recently yet seemed to be quite familiar with his daughter.

These three men were at the top of the list of people he, as a father, needed to be vigilant toward.

Therefore, Rutherford wasn’t yet assured even after he had instructed Jax to be careful.

“Ike” He called out a name in a low whisper, one which could not be heard if someone was even two feet away from him.

However, this low voice was still able to summon a figure into the room the Earl had been seated in.

“Yes, Master.” A man dressed in dark and dull clothes, making him entirely inconspicuous, appeared in the room in the next second.

The man named Ike was the head of the secret guards whom the Earl had hired and trained for the safety of his family ever since he had inherited the title.

These secret guards were all talented men he had gathered from different places who swore their loyalty to him and had been living by the creed they had vowed to follow.

Among these guards, Ike was the most talented and rightly so, had been their leader for many years now.

“Follow the Young Miss and make sure that she is fine.” The Earl ordered and his command was accepted by the guard with a bent knee.

Only their Master knew their true names and no one, not even Butler Limo who was often put in charge of them, was aware of their identities.

These guards were given numbers and were referred according to them by those they interacted with.

The Earl had proposed this method to maintain their anonymity.

The only time they were called by their names was when the task they were about to receive was something that held great importance.

Though the task that Ike, the leader of the secret guards, received was to protect the Young Miss from the shadows, he did not dare to be sloppy.

After all, everyone in this mansion knew that the Earl cherished his child so Ike bowed his head once again after he rose to his feet.

Rutherford gave him a brief nod and in the next second, this newcomer disappeared without a trace.

Having assigned the task of Yvonne’s safety to Ike, the worried father could heave a sigh of relief as he trusted his guards more than Jax.

They were capable of going against and defeating most noblemen with auras so he could focus on his workload while the child left the mansion to visit her business partner.

‘But why do I have the feeling that things will get worse soon?’ A nagging feeling arose in this father’s heart which led him to furrow his brows as he fixed his gaze on the files at hand.

___

When it was time for her appointment, Yvonne boarded the carriage with Jax and set out immediately.

On their way to Sevenz’s mansion which was quite away from where the noble families in Amarthea resided, Jax disclosed the exact details of the conversation he had with the Earl.

His Boss was this young girl seated opposite her in the carriage and not the Earl.

Therefore, he felt no guilt nor did he hesitate even for a second when he revealed the orders he had received from her father.

Hearing what he had to say, Yvonne rolled her eyes as her father was only growing more paranoid about her with time.

However, she could not blame him for having strong paternal instincts when it came to his only daughter.

“We are going to be discussing matters related to you so you will be there with me the entire time.” She shrugged while mentioning the purpose of her meeting with Sevenz in the first place.

Today, their reason for the meeting wasn’t CLOVER’s distribution of soaps through the caravan but something else entirely.

Therefore, Jax, for whom she was meeting Sevenz, would be by her side at all times and hence there was no reason for him to ignore the command he had received from the Earl.

While Jax wasn’t able to decipher why he had suddenly become the main protagonist of this meeting, he did not forget to accept the instruction she had given to him but at the same time his thoughts moved in a different direction.

He had met the strange foreigner only a handful of times but each time, he could sense that the owner of Ocular was not a simple man.

Though Jax was already quite immune to witnessing strange occurrences as his Boss was his biggest enigma, this other man was nothing less.

If there was someone else who could compete for that position then only Sevenz Oca was capable of doing so in the eyes of this young butler.

While he was still lost in thought about the mysterious owner of Ocular Caravans, the carriage came to a halt in a certain hidden part of the Capital.

Sevenz’s mansion was surrounded by trees in all directions, making it disappear from civilization if one were not too observant.

This made his house to be serene and unperturbed by the chaos of life.

Yvonne appreciated the ambiance each time she arrived here and today was also the same.

The familiar face of the Butler serving the Oca household appeared to greet her and brought the two guests to meet his Master.

Once they were inside the Parlor they always met in, Yvonne found not just Sevenz but even Sept seated here.

Greeting the two of them, she took her seat opposite them while Jax stood behind her like he always did.

Sevenz did not have the air of the grumbling best friend that he always portrayed while conversing with the child but had a firm expression, as though he was ready to get right to business.

Sensing what he wanted from her, Yvonne decided to do just that.

“I need a special item, something that can conceal his true appearance.” She announced what she had come here for while pointing her chin at her butler standing nearby.

“Maybe something that can change the color of his hair and eyes.” She continued, thinking of which alternate colors with suit Jax.

However, loud and painful-sounding coughs echoed in the room soon enough, dragging her out of her thoughts as she turned to look in the direction they were coming from.
