A Husband For Killer Mom

Chapter 120 - 120 Ch. 120 Super Advanced Ride

Anxia did know Stanley was a programming expert because he was a Hunter. But she didn’t expect that Richard would inherit his father’s gift.

Anxia couldn’t help but be reminded of Ling Meng, who Cerberus saved. She still couldn’t fathom the reason Cerberus would be willing to save someone to the end.

As far as she knew, once Cerberus finished helping someone and caught the real criminal, Cerberus never appeared again. Cerberus never helped the same person more than once, let alone accept an excessive request as Richard did.

Richard had enlisted the help of Cerberus to save Ling Meng from master Yu’s clutches. They had managed to do so, and the relationship between Cerberus and Richard should have ended right then and there.

But Ling Meng told him that Richard again asked for their help to find her mother’s whereabouts, which didn’t make sense. Cerberus was willing to help people, but that didn’t mean they would act like a detective to track down the whereabouts of an unknown individual.

All made sense when Anxia thought that Richard was part of Cerberus, but she found it hard to believe at the same time.

Watching Richard rush from right to left, then shift again to the right without stopping his fingers dancing on the very long console, somehow she felt she could see a spotlight-like beam on the man. Her husband looked dignified and charismatic by putting on a sexy, serious face.

Her reverie was broken when Anxia heard a motherly-like voice from Rossie’s and Elaine’s program. But strangely, this voice was similar to her mother-in-law.

.....

“Good evening, Richie. How are you?”

Richard straightened his back and then smiled with satisfaction. “Not really great. I need you to get us out of this place and track down Quinn Heinest.”

“Okay.”

Without warning, the car’s wrapping cloth was lifted and stored neatly on the ceiling, startling Anxia. She was even more stunned to see this grand, imposing, luxurious-looking black sedan. Even though there were no passengers because Richard had not yet entered, the engine was starting, and both doors were wide open.

This car only had two seats, and the opened doors spread into the air as if they were its wings.

Richard walked over to his wife, led her to get in, and closed the car door like a gentleman. After that, Richard turned around and sat in the driver’s seat.

“Richie, I can’t track Quinny. Do you want me to contact Andrew? Only he knows where the girl is hiding.”

“Do it.”

Anxia frowned in confusion, realizing the way the program talked was more expressive than the others. Besides, the program didn’t call Quinn a lady or young lady, but Quinny as if the lady was only a little girl.

Anxia could only shake her head, feeling that she had married someone she had never imagined before.

At first, she thought her husband was just an ordinary businessman who inherited the robotic megacorp in England. She thought Richard didn’t like his job, so he rarely came into the office and traveled abroad.

But that husband of hers had good martial arts skills and programming talent.

Not only that, Richard had a good relationship with Cerberus.

Somehow knowing all this information made Anxia feel more admiration for her husband. The man she married was no ordinary person!

Before this, she assumed no one could withstand her nature and wild demeanor, like a tiger ready to pounce on its prey. Not to mention, she was a hitman!

Ordinary men would not dare to approach her once they knew her career.

She knew that Richard was indeed abnormal because he could still accept her even though he knew her inside out. That man was gentle and always put her as his top priority, even though Anxia had repeatedly tried to run away and kill him. But never once did it enter her mind that Richard was not the ordinary man she had seen so far.

Anxia was too overwhelmed by her adoration for Richard, without realizing she had stared at him for a long time. She only shifted her eyes when Richard glanced at her. She felt awkward and embarrassed for stealing a lingering glance at her husband, but it soon vanished and was replaced by the mesmerizing sight before her.

She… she’s under the sea!!

Wait a minute, isn’t this just an ordinary car? Why did she feel like she was in a submarine?

Anxia saw many fishes with beautiful colors swimming past them, making her feel that she was diving in the sea.

“Wh… What happened?”

Richard chuckled at his wife’s utter confusion.

“It seems you admire me too much that you don’t realize we’ve come out of the tunnel.”

Anxia felt her blood rush to her head, and she felt like steam arose above her head.

“This is a super advanced car. Not only could it dive in the water, but it also could fly. But this car is more specifically designed to proceed in the water because it’s the only secret ride to get out of the Hallstatt palace.”

“And you kept it a secret all this time? You hid it from me!”

“What can we do about it? I don’t want you to run away from me. After all, apart from my father and me, no one knows of this secret exit.”

Apart from Richard and Stanley? Does that mean Meisya, Raymond, and Harmonie don’t know about it either?

“Isn’t your father partial? Why didn’t he tell your two siblings? Or at least Raymond.”

“Rei wasn’t too interested in programming, while Harmonie... she didn’t need protection like the two of us at that time.”

If only Anxia didn’t know Richard well, she would snort at this indifferent and uncaring brother. But she knew Richard treasured family the most, and he wouldn’t let anything harm any of his brothers, let alone his baby sister.

Harmonie was the youngest and the only daughter of Stanley Calvin, so why did Richard give the impression that Harmonie was more than capable of protecting herself compared to her two older brothers?

How confusing, yet interesting.
