A Husband For Killer Mom

Chapter 144 - 144 Ch. 144 The Brothers’ Plan For Their Sister

When Richard finished chairing a meeting with his subordinate directors, his mother called him as if she knew her son had finished his appointment.

“Of course. We’ll be delighted to have you here.” Richard answered as he walked from the meeting room to his office.

“Very well. Raymond and the others will also be joining us.”

Richard’s footsteps stopped at this. He had no problem facing the arrival of his twin brother, and he was excited to meet his nephew. Michelle gave birth to a healthy baby boy named Eugenius, aka Eugene, two years ago. Richard only got photos and videos sent by Raymond and Harmonie when his youngest sister was on vacation in the states.

Unfortunately, whenever Anxia found out that Richard was talking on the phone with Raymond and Michelle, Anxia always avoided him. Thus, Richard was worried about Anxia’s reaction when she met Michele.

He didn’t know whether Anxia still hated Michelle because they hadn’t discussed it in the past two years. Richard never started a conversation because he didn’t want to fight with his wife.

Would it be better for him to talk about it first so his wife wouldn’t be surprised when they picked up their family at the airport?

“Richie? Are you still there?”

.....

Richard’s thoughts were broken when he heard his mother’s call. He also continued his steps towards his office while answering his mother.

“Yes, mom. I am still here. I will prepare rooms for all of you.”

“Very nice. Because I will need both of you to comfort Moni.”

“Moni? Did something happen to her?”

“Hhhh… That silly girl hasn’t said anything and has been quiet for the past two months. And it was only yesterday that your father found out the reason.”

“And?”

“She broke up with her fiancé.”

“WHAT? Why and how? Do I need to find that person? I’m sure Raymond will agree with me to settle a score with him.”

“Hush! Are you guys unrestrained boys? Besides, I believe Moni did not expect anyone to chase him. I think she needs time.”

“I understand. I will contact Raymond to arrange a special event for Moni, and I can take a month off.”

Meisya laughed at her eldest son’s last comment. “It seems you always take a month off three times a year.”

“How did you know?”

“You forget Thijs always calls your father three times a year whenever you disappear without a word.”

“You know me before I meet Xia Xia.”

“I’m pretty sure what I’ve heard was nothing compared to the truth. I heard that ??you increased your leave.”

“Mom, I’m not like that... not anymore. I come to the office more regularly, and I’ve been diligent lately.”

“So you won’t be seen as lazy by your wife?”

Richard chuckled at his mother’s guess. “Of course. I must work harder to make my wife love me more.”

Meisya laughed at that while Stanley massaged his forehead because he could hear the voice of his son, who was super proud of himself.

“Okay. See you in three days. I can’t wait to meet you all. Give my best regards to Anxia and Lori.”

Richard was also looking forward to meeting his brother and nephew. He had not met Eugene face to face and had not seen Harmonie and Raymond in nearly two years.

He still saw his parents because they would go to Netherland every three months to stay at Stanley’s house for a week. On the contrary, Richard never met Harmonie again because she moved her work center to Switzerland to be with her fiancé.

But who would have thought? His sister broke up with her fiancé after being in a relationship for almost three years. He and Raymond had the duty to entertain the brokenhearted sister, but this thought should be on hold first. The main problem now was how he was supposed to tell Anxia about the arrival of Raymond and the others.

Richard hoped Anxia wouldn’t be too against their arrival and be kind when she came face to face with Michele.

On the other side of the world, Raymond was having breakfast when his mother called him. After hanging up the call, Raymond told the news to his wife.

“Good news. Richard will prepare a room for all of us.”

“I know he will. Have you been to his house in London?”

“Not yet. He bought it three years ago but liked to travel around instead of settling down.”

“I wonder why.” Michele couldn’t help but chuckle, recalling how her brother-in-law had never stayed in the same place for more than a month.

“He said he was too lonely living in a big house with no one around. Mom and dad did not want to move to London either. In the end, he preferred to travel around.”

“Rei, what would our sister-in-law be like? Has brother Richard sent a photo of his wife?” Michelle asked out of pure curiosity.

“No. He never sent it, aside from Lori’s picture.”

“Oh, Lori. She’s so beautiful. I’m sure her mother is also lovely. Why did Richard keep it a secret?”

“I have no idea. After all, we’ll meet up with them soon.”

Michelle smiled gently in response to her husband’s excited tone. “Eugene, are you excited?” Michelle rubbed her nose against her son’s. “Soon, we will meet your cousin, and I’m sure you will like her. She is so sweet.”

“Sweet?” Eugene, who had just learned some vocabulary, imitated his mother’s words while tilting his head with a smile still filled with food.

Raymond was happy to see the smiles of his wife and son. Ah, he was so lucky to have Michelle as his wife. Even though he never met his twin brother’s wife, he was sure Richard was happy with his wife and daughter.

He and Richard hoped their youngest sister could also live happily with a man who loved her sincerely.

Alas, fate had other plans, as Moni’s relationship had ended. He didn’t know what was happening because the girl kept her mouth shut, not wanting to talk about it.

Because of that, all they could do was comfort Harmonie and made her forget the bitter memories with that jerk.

That man had better hope he never crosses paths with Richard or Raymond. Because once the two of them saw his face, they would not sit still.
