A Husband For Killer Mom

Chapter 187 - 187 Ch. 187 Andrew-Harmonie Tale (part 2)

Harmonie’s steps stopped when she heard her cousin’s question. Why did Andrew ask if she had ever used eye lenses? Did her eye color change? Harmonie suddenly became nervous and didn’t know what to answer.

“Occasionally.” that was her short answer while hoping the young man did not ask further questions.

“It’s late, and you’d better go back to sleep.”

Harmonie frowned at this because she wasn’t sleepy yet. This was her first time coming to England, and this was her last night to spend her summer break. “I’m not sleepy.”

“Then, want to accompany me to read a book in my room?”

“Yeah.” without any suspicion or hesitation, Harmonie followed Andrew’s steps to a room that was none other than his room.

Harmonie didn’t feel worried and walked casually as if she were walking into the room of one of her brothers. Then Andrew led her to sit on the gray velvet couch and gave her some books to read.

Harmonie chose to read a book about the history of ancient castle buildings in this city. At the same time, Andrew returned to reading his school textbooks.

.....

The problem was that Andrew couldn’t concentrate because his eyes would glance at the pretty little girl now and then. His eyes read the writings of the material books, but none of the scripts stuck to his brain. Strangely, when his eyes looked at Harmonie―the way she opened the book―all her beauty was deeply embedded in his brain.

Andrew shook his head quickly, realizing that his mind had wandered elsewhere, and decided to turn his body and focus on his textbook.

If he turned his back on Harmonie, his eyes wouldn’t wander off at her, and he could quickly finish a few chapters of his college textbook material.

Imperceptibly, Andrew finished reading the three chapters of his college book material. He was already starting to feel sleepy and decided to rest.

Andrew got up and was about to take his cousin back to his room, but his intention was delayed when he saw the girl sleeping on the couch.

Harmonie’s sleeping position looked uncomfortable because her legs were still hanging down while her head and body were lying on their sides. Her reddish-brown hair spread over the gray couch―her lips opened slightly cutely while one of her hands formed a half fist.

Andrew walked over to the girl with a pounding heart―crouched beside Harmonie to see the sleeping princess. Without a command from his brain, one hand moved on its own to remove a strand of hair covering the girl’s face and tucked it behind her earlobe.

Andrew swallowed hard as he started to feel a temptation he had never felt before. His eyes could not leave the two slightly parted lips, and he was curious about how those lips felt.

Ultimately, his curiosity won, and he lifted his body slightly and brought his face closer to the sleeping beauty in front of him. Slowly and carefully, Andrew put his lips on Harmonie’s tiny lips. There was no lust or sensuality other than just poking it for a few seconds.

Sweet. Andrew had never tasted anything quite as sweet as this, and he already had an addiction and wanted to try it again. But before he did it a second time, Andrew distanced himself and immediately stood up.

If he wished to make Harmonie his girlfriend, he had to do it as a gentleman. He didn’t think he would feel for Harmonie―his father’s step-niece. Perhaps, Andrew had been amazed and pleased every time he met Moni because the girl was bright and gave off a positive vibe.

But Andrew always suppressed his feelings and convinced himself that Harmonie was his younger cousin, so he didn’t think too much about it.

Now that he had kissed her, Andrew was sure of his feelings.

He already liked Harmonie all this time but didn’t want to admit it and conceal his feelings. Now that he had accepted it, the feelings he had suppressed for a long time immediately burst out from within his heart.

After indulging himself in satisfying his eyes on the girl’s beautiful face, Andrew decided to wake up Harmonie. But unfortunately, Harmonie couldn’t get up and whined not to be woken up.

In the end, Andrew carried Harmonie with the utmost care, as if the girl’s petite body would break easily if he did it roughly. He had to return this girl to her room quickly. Otherwise, Andrew wasn’t sure if he could control himself from tasting the sweet taste on her lips again.

Andrew walked through the corridor leading to Harmonie’s room while looking at the beautiful girl without boredom. Unknowingly, a broad smile graced his handsome face, and he didn’t know that a pair of eyes were watching his movements in front of Harmonie’s room.

“What happened to her?”

Andrew gasped when he heard a cold and heavy voice from the front and immediately felt cold sweat break out as soon as he saw Stanley’s pair of sharp eyes.

“She fell asleep while reading a book in my room.”

One of Stanley’s eyebrows rose upon hearing that, then stretched his hands with an intimidating aura. “Let me carry her.”

Andrew had no choice but to obey his uncle’s orders and handed over Harmonie with a disappointed sigh because he couldn’t hold the girl any longer.

“Wait here,” Stanley ordered again before he opened the door to Harmonie’s room and stepped inside. Not long after, Stanley came out and immediately spoke to Andrew without further ado.

“I know the meaning of your look at her. You like my daughter… as a man.”

“...” Andrew swallowed nervously. The worst thing most boys avoid is facing their dreamy girl’s super-protective father.

Plus, he was caught red-handed by Moni’s father the day he realized his feelings.

“I heard your father’s company’s stock numbers haven’t been great recently.”

“…” Andrew didn’t speak and just listened silently while guessing what the older man wanted to say. He was still and had not graduated from high school. Even though his father often invited him to the company, Leonard never told him about the company affair.

“I can help your father, and I can destroy it at the same time.”

“Are you saying―”

“Do not come closer to Harmonie, and never show your feelings for her if you don’t want me to destroy your family stock.”

It felt like Andrew’s heart stopped beating at that threat. Why? Why did Stanley forbid him from going near Harmonie?

Is it because they are a family? But they are not related by blood at all.

At that time, Andrew was green and could not think straight―he believed the older man, so Andrew buried his newly founded feelings.
